Compared to the Ford Fiesta Sedan, the Fiesta Active is smaller, especially in length, with a difference of about 30 cm. Compared to the rest of the range, however, it is indeed, between 10 and 20 cm longer and between 5 and 10 cm wider.
Wheelbase varies between 2290 mm (90.16 in.) and 2493 mm (98.15 in.), depending on the modification.
Fuel economy of Ford Fiesta 1.4 petrol cars is between 5.7 l/100 km (41.27 mpg) and 7.5 l/100 km (31.36 mpg). Diesel motors of the same size seem to be more efficient, with consumption figures of 4.3 - 4.5 l/100 km (54.7 - 52.27 mpg).
The whole Ford Fiesta range can be quite fuel efficient, and EcoBoost powered variants make no exception. The 1.0-liter EcoBoost motor, assisted by a mild hybrid system, achieves efficiency of 4 - 4.5 l/100 km (58.8 - 52.27 mpg). Same-sized, but lacking the hybrid technology counterpart’s consumption is also considerably low - 4.1 l/100 km (57.37 mpg) - 6.1 l/100 km (38.56 mpg). The larger 1.5- and 1.6-liter EcoBoost engines’ fuel economy figures are 6 l/100 km (39.2 mpg) and 5.9 - 6.1 l/100 km (39.87 - 38.56 mpg), respectively.
Despite its good safety rating, Ford Fiesta is not praised for its reliability by owners. Many common problems are reported, such as the clutch being prone to wear and tear, fuel pipe, rear axle, and suspension issues, and faulty airbag warning lights.
Some of the model’s attributes, such as its good fuel efficiency, could make it a good family car. The small size and reliability issues, on the other hand, are usually not something one would want, when it comes to their family car.
