Toyota’s strong reputation for reliability is completely justified by their vehicles’ durability and build-quality. The Corolla has been an extremely reliable vehicle, as well, ever since its introduction to the market, according to owners. With proper maintenance, the model causes little to no issues to drivers. With recent vehicles receiving high safety ratings and impressing with their design and performance, it seems like the Toyota Corolla has no drawbacks, at least not major ones.
Reliability has always been something that comes to mind when the name Toyota is mentioned. And Toyota Corolla is another proof why. According to owners, this solid model has quite a long life span and can last for decades. Many report driving their Toyota Corolla vehicles for more than 500 000 km for a period of between 20 and 30 years.
Currently (as of 2022), Toyota holds the first two places of best-selling car rankings with its Corolla and RAV4 models, with the former winning the best-selling car title. Corolla has been a great success in terms of sales for decades. It first became the best-selling car worldwide in 1997, when its sales exceeded those of the Volkswagen Beetle.
Lane Trace Assisst (LTA) is a part of Toyota Corolla's active safety technologies set - Toyota Safety Sense. When active together with full range Adaptive Cruise Control, it helps the driver stay in the centre of their lane by detecting lane markings, or in case they are faded or missing - by following the path of the preceding vehicle and gently assissting in steering control. It works in a wide range of speeds, both high, suitable for the highway, and low - almost to a standstill.
While the majority of Toyota Corolla vehicles are non-hybrid, full hybrid variants were added to the Corolla range for the 2017 facelift of the model's eleventh generation. The most recent (as of 2022) twelfth Corolla generation extends the electrified range, offering two hybrid powertrain options, both featuring full hybrid technology again. No mild or plug-in hybrids are currently available.
