Suzuki is ready to officially launch a 5-door version of the recently presented generation of Jimny. If the rumors are true, the 5-door modification will be initially intended for the Indian car market where the standard 3-door variant is not available for purchase.
Along with the additional two doors, the Jimny crossover will display a significant increase in wheelbase, thus offering its passengers plenty of cabin space.
Otherwise, the Indian Jimny will keep all the other features, available as standard for the rest of the world where the vehicle is being offered.
The present Jimny comes with a naturally aspirated 1.5 L engine unit, generating 102 hp and 130 Nm of torque. The transmission provided is either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic one.
