Seat debuted its first electric vehicle. Named el-Born, the charming Spagiard steps on Volkswagen's MEB platform, developed specially for vehicles with electric motors.
Under the bonnet of Seat's first EV, an engine unit with 204 hp is paired with 62 kWh battery pack. According to the manufacturer, the new Seat can run up to 402 km on batteries and can recharge them up to 80% in 47 minutes (up to 100 kW DC).
Seat's el-Born is also able to jump from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds. While the exterior sports quite an artistic design approach, the interior offers coziness. Inside the spacious cabin, driver and passengers can fully enjoy comfort, thanks to the separated seats and plenty of storage spaces.
A plethora of modern safety systems and driver assistance have found their way into the cute el-Born. Probably the most notable of them is the Level 2 autopilot which enables the vehicle to keep the drive lane or switch them when needed, and to park itself without the driver's assistance.
