Renault Grand Escape is the long wheelbase version of the model, measuring between 4787 mm (188.46 in.) and 4861 mm (191.38 in.) in length, depending on the modification.
First generation variants had a ground clearance of 150 mm (5.9 in.), decreased to 119 mm (4.7 in.) in the second generation, and then to 109 mm (4.3 in.) until 2002 model year. More recent vehicles’ ground clearance is the highest - 160 mm (6.3 in.).
Renault Espace is still being produced and is currently in its fifth generation.
Renault Espace generations one to four consist only of 7-seat vehicles. 5-seat options, however, are included in the fifth generation range.
Renault Espace classifies as a luxury crossover multi purpose vehicle.
Owners are quite satisfied with how spacious, practical, and comfortable the Renault Espace is. Unfortunately, the model does not perform well in terms of reliability and is prone to a number of issues, especially with the engine, clutch, and electronics, that usually result in costly repairs.
