First generation Peugeot 5008 variants are classified as MPVs and measure 4529 mm (178.31 in.) in length, 1888 mm (74.33 in.) in width, and 1647 mm (64.84 in.) in height. Though slightly longer, the second generation was reclassified as an SUV, being 4641 mm (182.72 in.) in length, 1844 mm (72.6 in.) in width, and 1646 mm (64.8 in.) in height.
Peugeot 5008 overall offers quite good fuel economy and the 2020 model year range is no exception. The most efficient being the 1.5 BlueHDi (130 Hp) variants, with consumption of 4.6 - 6 l/ 100 km (51.13 – 39.2 mpg).
Peugeot 5008 vehicles, equipped with 1.2-liter PureTech petrol engines, produce 130 Hp and 230 Nm of torque.
No hybrid or fully-electric variants have been included in the Peugeot 5008 range so far.

In its first generation, Peugeot 5008 is available both with 5 and 7 seats, while the second generation vehicles are all 7-seat only.
In terms of maximum boot space, rear seats down, the 2020 Peugeot 5008 does offer the most – 2150 l (84.65 cu.ft.). When all seats are up, however, boot space is down to 702 l (27.64 cu.ft.), less than in the pre-facelift second generation range.
Peugeot 5008 variants, that have the EAT8 automatic transmissions, come with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go. The feature is also available for the rest of the 2020 model year range.
