The highlight in new Sonata's exterior is the so-called 'Parametric Jewel' radiator grille, that emphasizes the car's bold profile. Hyundai's new automobile displays notably enhanced aerodynamics. A wing-shaped rear spoiler and twin-tip exhaust mufflers give a hint about Sonata's sporty performance and style. The next-gen Hyundai echoes the silhouette of a four-door premium coupe with its lower roofline and prolonged wheelbase.

The core of the new Hyundai Sonata’s excellent performance and enhanced safety features is the all-new third-gen platform. It implements a hot stamping on the high tensile steel elements in the chassis, that not only reduces the vehicle's weight with approximately 5% but also makes it more rigid and ensures higher cabin's safety in case of a collision. Apart from that, the new platform enhances the driving performance of new Sonata, providing better aerodynamics and stability.

The rear-seat space is pretending to be the best in class with adequate headroom and very good knee room. The premium class of the vehicle is underlined by dash and door panels' faux-leather-wrapping and Nappa leather-trimmed seats. The cosiness in the cabin is enhanced by stylish ambient lighting along the edge of doors and dash panels. A 12.3-inch central display offers a virtual instrument cluster. It includes a new Blind-Spot View Monitor, that is useful not only while cornering but also in areas with a lot of cyclist on the road. The Sonata's Remote Smart Parking Assist allows the driver to park the car being outside through a smartphone. The next-gen vehicle is the first Hyundai that offers a Digital Key. The car’s owner is able to command the car via a smartphone app (which, by the way, has an option for a shared-access with another user for a set period of time).

Hyundai Sonata 2020 has a more powerful turbo-4 1.6-litre gasoline engine, producing power of 180hp. Probably a plug-in hybrid will be available too. The transmission in all trims is an eight-speed automatic.
Hyundai is trying to transform its midsize sedan into a stylish and high-tech vehicle. The new Sonata 2020 is designed to fulfill all of these desires.
