For good or bad, BMW Group announced that they will discontinue the Series 3 Gran Turismo model. The main reason - seizing the financial losses the company has been struggling for the past few years.
According to the company's officials, just for the previous financial year, BMW has suffered a significant drop in profits (about 7,9 % for 2018). As a main reason for the drop, BMW points out the unstable political scenery, the world financial crisis, the increase of production costs, the huge difference in exchange rate of currencies and the rise of raw material prices.
In order to cut the loss, the German car maker decided to hack off Series 3 Gran Turismo. The vehicle made its debut in 2016 and for 3 years was a center of fierce debates whether or not the brand needed it. According to unofficial sources, Series 3 Gran Turismo may not be the only model BMW will ax.
