Because of the growing popularity of SUV and Crossovers over other body styled vehicles, Ford is planning to end production of the Mondeo in 2022.
The model offers a wide range of body styles, measuring between 4481 mm (176.42 in.) and 4871 mm (191.77 in.) in length, 1749 mm (68.86 in.) and 1886 mm (74.25 in.) in width, and 1424 mm (56.06 in.) and 1512 mm (59.53 in.) in height.
Output can be between 88 Hp (1994 Ford Mondeo I Wagon/ Hatchback/ Sedan 1.6 i 16V (88 Hp); 1993 Ford Mondeo I Wagon 1.8 TD (88 Hp)) and 240 Hp (2010 Ford Mondeo III Hatchback (facelift 2010) 2.0 EcoBoost (240 Hp) PowerShift; 2014 Ford Mondeo IV Sedan/ Wagon/ Hatchback 2.0 EcoBoost (240 Hp) Automatic), depending on the variant.
Fuel economy varies between 3.6 l/100 km (65.34 mpg) (2014 Ford Mondeo IV 1.6 TDCi (115 Hp) ECOnetic; 2015 Ford Mondeo IV Sedan 1.5 TDCi (120 Hp) ECOnetic 2014) and 10.6 l/100 km (22.19 mpg) (2002 Ford Mondeo II Wagon 3.0 V6 24V ST220 (226 Hp)), with variants from 2010 onwards being mostly on the lower end.
