Seat’s former sports division, Cupra, has revealed the very first details about the upcoming production-ready Formentor. The massive SUV strikes with its enviable dimensions – a length of 4450 mm, a width of 1839 mm and a height of 1511 mm. Those impressive numbers help shape the muscular and silhouette of the Formentor.

The sporty vehicle steps on huge, 19-in alloy wheels, which can come with special copper paint on them. In addition to the wheels, the car is offered with Brembo brakes and 9 different palette shades for the exterior among which are two matte and three specially-developed colors.
Spacious and elegant, the interior offers the comfort of ergonomic sport seats (with two upholstery colors), a 12-in panoramic digital display with navigation included and a new sporty steering wheel (with the integrated engine start button) are among the details that turn Formentor’s interior into a pleasant place to be.

Under the bonnet, the Formentor comes with 2 engine options. The first one is a 2.0 L TSI turbocharged version (310 hp/400 Nm) combined with a 4Drive technology and a DSG transmission.
The second one features a 1.4 TSI hybrid system with 150 hp. It is combined with a 115 hp electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 13 kWh. Thanks to this combination, the hybrid system of the Formentor will harness the combined power of 245 hp and a torque of 400 Nm.

The electric range of the upcoming Cupra Formentor is expected to be around 50 km.
