Being a high-performance vehicle by a luxury brand, the BMW M2 is mainly described as a dependable car with superior build quality and reliable engines, especially when it comes to the sportier Competition and CS variants. An additional advantage of the model is the good resale value, that it is expected to keep.
BMW M2 is a versatile vehicle suitable for not just a single purpose. It is both exciting to drive and practical. And while, being a coupe, it would not necessarily make a good family car, there is no reason it wouldn’t be a nice daily driver. Depending on how one drives it, it can even get a decent fuel consumption of about 8 l/ 100 km (29 mpg). It is easy, however, to give in to the urge of making the driving experience more fun and significantly decrease the car’s efficiency.
Apart from the higher-performing powertrains and other elements, the BMW M2 differs from the standard 2 series with some of its design features as well. These include a low front apron with large air vents, muscular flanks with characteristic M gills, broad rear end with hallmark, and wide rear with M-specific twin-tailpipe exhaust system. In addition, the M2 interior includes sports seats, an M sports steering wheel, and an M gearshift lever, to emphasize the sportier character of the car.
While all BMW M2, M2 Competition, and M2 CS are high-performance vehicles, each can be described as a sportier version of the previous, meaning the M2 CS is the highest-performing variant in the range. It is equipped with a more powerful engine, more carbon fiber elements that make it lighter, and improved steering, suspension, and handling than the M2 Competition.
According to customer reviews, BMW M2’s interior is not necessarily of superior quality, but is in fact quite comfortable. It features a wide variety of adjustment options for the seats and steering wheel, allowing both driver and passengers to adapt interior elements to their preference and comfort.
