Polo is the second best-seller for Volkswagen in the UK, after Golf. Volkswagen decided to upgrade their award-winning Polo SE trim, adding even more extras and additional equipment to the new Match level.
A notable change is new 15-inch ‘Seyene’ alloy wheels, redesigned front fog lights, rear tinted-windows, and front and rear parking sensors.

Polo Match gets three engine and gearbox configurations. All of them are based on the 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol unit. The 80 PS EVO engine offers the option of 5-speed manual gearbox only. The more powerful 95 PS turbocharged motor is available with either a five-speed manual or with a seven-speed DSG transmission. The manufacturer promises low running costs are promised for all variants. The laboratory tests for WLTP-certifying shows CO2 emissions of 125 - 139 g/km, while the fuel economy on the combined WLTP cycle varies from 6.5 to 5.5 l/100km.
The additional equipment on the Match upgrades the already included extra features in the outgoing SE trim level. Some of the newly added functionalities are the Car-Net App-Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 8.0-inch Composition Media infotainment system and ergonomic lumbar adjustment for the front seats.

It is not the first time for the small city model to triumph in the category. The new Match trim replaces SE with a considerable pack of additional equipment, and it will probably make the Polo even better.
